Gray Nicker plant is a Perennial deciduous flowering plant native to Sri Lanka, India and China. The plant is a vine grows on other trees or bush like a shrub. It is rarely found on woodland or border of large forest in wet zone and dry zone in Sri Lanka. Gray Nicker fruits are important herbs in Ayurveda medicine and was used as jewelries by ancient.
