Little Gourd also known as Baby Watermelon
is a edible vine in the gourd family, Cucurbitaceae native to Sri Lanka, India and many other countries in the world including China Australia and Hawaii. It is commonly found on woodlands forest borders and wasteland in dry zone in Sri Lanka and found in wet zone as a cultivated plant on home gardens. Fruits of Little Gourd is used as a vegetable and leaves are use as a leafy vegetable. Also, all parts of the plant have medicinal properties.
