Kobbe tree or Indian Allophylus tree is a species of Sapindaceae family native to Sri Lanka, India and some countries including South Africa and America. It is fast growing small woody tree grows up to 3 -4 meters in height as a weed. It is occurs naturally on wood lands scrub-jungles or road side ways mostly in wet zone in the low country. The fruits of the Cobbe tree can be eat but it is abnormal in Sri Lanka because consider the fruits are toxin. The tree is a herbal plant that bark used in Ayurveda specially for Bone Fractures.
