  • Hevea brasiliensis or Rubber tree is a species of flowering plant belong to Euphorbiaceae family. The Rubber tree, also known as Para Tree is a large tree growing up about 25- 30 meters in height. It is native plant to Brazil and introduced to Sri Lanka as a export crop. It was fast established and became the second most economically important plant in Sri Lanka. It is widely cultivate in low country wet zone.
