Barberton daisy or Gerbera jamesonii is a very popular ornamental flowering plant, simply called in Sri Lanka as Barbendesiya or Gerbera, commonly found in domestic garden around the country. Gerbera jamesoni is it’s scientific name and also called as Gerber Daisy and Transvaal Daisy in other countries. Plant is perennial, asexual reproduction, and classified as Gerbera Genus in family Asteraceae. The plant is native to the South African countries and can be found in various species in various colors.
