Abutilon falcatum plant also called Abutilon marion is a perennial plant in mallow family native to the South America and introduce plant to Sri Lanka. It is consider as one of the plant in Abutilon Hybridum Group. It is now naturalized throughout the country as a garden plant. Leaves are tapering to long point in shape, symmetrical teeth on the edges and Red-maroon color Flowers are half- bloom half-pendulous. Small woody tree grows about up to 10 feet in height. The plant is closely related to hybrid of Abutilon darwinii, Abutilon theophrasti plants. All these plants are called as Plants of Abutilon Hybridum Group
