Alstroemeria ligtu flowers, also called Peruvian lily or Lily of the Incas, is a perennial plant, introduced to Sri Lanka as a garden flower. It is native to South America but have naturalized in many other countries such as United States, Australia, and New Zealand. Alstroemeria Lily blooms 3 to 5 flowers per stem and pale-violet flowers with black strips on the inner petal. Also has in pink, orange or red, and the Purple colors as hybrid or sub species. Lanceola shape foliage can be variable in shape with hooked or sickle shape called "Falcate". Peruvian lily is a popular flower for flora arrangements and specially use for weddings flowers. The Peruvian lily grows to 2 feet in height and can be cultivate in plant containers.
