White Cosmos (Sudu Ata Pethiya in Sinhalese)  plant is a small herbaceous evergreen plant native to mexico and America and  introduced plant to Sri Lanka. It is a popular garden plant in Sri Lanka that can grow in any region of the country with any climate. The flowers are dense bloom when the sunny weather with low rainfall.  Easy and common methods of propagating the White Cosmos is by seed that collecting from the dried flowers.
Cosmos flowers are closely related to the Marigold flowers.
