It is commonly found throughout Wet zone or dry Zone places like road sideways, grass lands,back yards,  and gardens. In Sri Lanka,    plant use as a herbs in Ayurveda and can be use as mix leaf vegetable.
Indian Acalypha, also known as Cat Plant, got it name that Cats are very attract to the odor of Acalypha plant's roots
