Ageratum conyzoides is a small herbaceous plant in Asteraceae family, known by several common names including White Mink, White Weed and Chick Weed. It is native to American continental and naturalized in some countries in Asia. Also found as a weed in wet zone and dry zone in Sri Lanka and sometime called "Hulantala" in Sinhalese same to Ageratum houstonianum but it is also misapplied. The plant is toxin and have important medicinal properties but not use in Sri Lanka. Ageratum conyzoides is fast growing invasive weed, widely spread throughout farming land that consider as noxious weed.
