Beggar weed - Ath Undu piyaliya

Ath Undupiyaliya or Beggar weed is a introduced plant to Sri Lanka from America. It grows like  ground cover plant  in vine or small shrub that scramble along the ground and can be found throughout the country as a invasive weed such as on farmlands home gardens,backyards, or road sideways. However, leaves of desmodium triflorum are  use  in Ayurveda medicine.
