Salvia splendens is a flowering plant belong to family Lamiaceae that native to Brazil. It is introduced to Sri Lanka as a ornamental plant and well growth in high altitude regions hence the plant seen on public parks in hill country areas. The plant has developed in many cultivars in various colors and this pictures display the Scarlet Sage 'Sizzler' taken at Public Garden in Nuwara Eliya.
