Common Purslane or Verdolaga native to America and introduced to Sri Lanka as a ornament. It is a popular ornamental plant widely cultivates in home gardens throughout the country. The plant is edible and has many medicinal properties but not use in Sri Lanka. Also it has many hybrid cultivars in various color.
