Tephrosin weed or Hoarypea plant is a native plant to South Africa, and exotic plant to Sri Lanka, can be found in low country in Sri Lanka mostly in wet zone. It is a weed, somewhat invasive plant often found in road sideways, scrub jungle or waste land . As per it's Sinhala name called "Pora Gas" meaning that Fertilizer Tree in English, can be use to improve soil fertility and reduce soil erosion.
