Brazilian red-cloak plant is a ornamental plant introduced from South America to Sri Lanka ,can be found in home gardens widely in low country in Sri Lanka. It is small tree about 2 meters in height belong to genus Megaskepasma in Acanthaceae family and it is the only one species of the genus Megaskepasma.
