Blue Rat Tail is a perennial plant native to America and Caribbean Island. It is exotic plant to Sri Lanka and now naturalized throughout the country specially in Low land wet zone. The plant can be grow on road sideways, woodlands, land borders or anywhere as a invasive weed. It is a medicinal plant but use rare in Ayurveda medicine.There are two species in same appearance that this one has blue flowers and other one has white flowers.
