Wild Guava is a species of
Psidum genus in
Myrtaceae family. It is commonly found in sideways, wood land, and scrub jungle of low land in
Sri Lanka, and called "
Ambul Pera " in Sinhalese. The tree grows as a shrub up to 1 or 2 meters height it is presumably derives from Spanish. Fruits are can be eat and
leaves and bark are used in Ayurveda medicine.
